I came across Jacob's case recently and something that's been on my mind is his military background. As a former combat engineer with the Army National Guard, I'm curious if there have been any efforts to reach out to fellow service members or veterans who might know more about his mental state around that time. It's concerning that he quit his jobs and gave away belongings—possibly signs he was distancing himself from life as he knew it. Military brothers and sisters might have noticed subtle signs that others wouldn't catch. Does anyone know if the investigators have looked into this angle or have gotten any insights from his National Guard peers? It could be a crucial part of the puzzle.
