Hey everyone, I've been following Corey's case very closely and can't stop thinking about the impact on his kids. Losing a parent is incredibly tough, and I can't even imagine what they must be going through, especially so suddenly and violently. It's not fair that six children have to grow up without their dad, someone who was clearly so involved in their lives. I really hope the community can rally around them and offer support. They deserve to know the truth about what happened to Corey and to see justice served. My thoughts are with all of them, and I sincerely hope someone comes forward with new information soon. If anyone has ideas on how we can help support the kids during this time, I'd love to hear them.

The thing that's been on my mind about Corey Laster's case is the profound silence that seems to surround it. How is it possible that no arrests have been made or suspects publicly identified yet? It’s been over four years now, and I just can't fathom the pain his family must be enduring every day without answers. Corey was such a positive force, especially with his love for family and his passion for sports. All those kids to guide and inspire, missing their father...It’s beyond tragic. I keep wondering if someone out there knows something that could help bring peace to his loved ones. If you have any information, no matter how small, it could be the crucial piece of the puzzle. Let's remember Corey as the cherished community member and loving father he was, and keep pushing for justice.

I can't help but feel a deep sense of sadness whenever I think about the tragedy that befell Corey Laster and his family. I wanted to share my thoughts on the community's response since his passing. It's truly telling of who Corey was and the life he lived. The outpouring of love and support from so many corners of Decatur shows just how valued he was. There's been a lot of talk about organizing a community event in Corey’s memory, something that can bring people together to celebrate his life and perhaps shine a light on ending the cycle of violence. I've heard discussions ranging from a car show (since Corey loved cars so much) to a sports meet dedicated to him, emphasizing not just coming together in grief but actively promoting peace and solidarity. I genuinely believe that keeping Corey's spirit alive this way is something meaningful. It also serves as a powerful reminder to all who knew him—and even those who didn’t—that every life lost to violence is one too many. If anyone has more info on these efforts or wants to get involved, please share here. His family and our whole community deserve to see his legacy continued in kindness and hope.
