Has anyone else been following the case of Lonnie Wilson? It’s been bothering me how little progress there seems to be in finding the person responsible. This happened right in the neighborhood, and he was one of our own. I keep thinking about his family and the pain they're going through, especially knowing that no one has been held accountable yet. And then there are the two other men who were hurt that night—it's just awful all around. I live nearby, and it’s frustrating that more hasn't come out about this. It's like everything’s just gone quiet. I hope the police are getting the help they need to crack this case. If anyone around here knows anything, even the smallest detail could be the key. Everyone deserves to be safe and feel like justice is possible in such tragic situations.

It's been a rough few years since Lonnie Wilson's tragic death. I came across an old article about his case and can't help but feel a deep sense of frustration and sadness for his family and friends. I grew up around South Chicago, and it's disheartening to see another life lost to gun violence. I was wondering if anyone knows if there have been any community-led efforts or initiatives in the 8300 block of South Kingston Ave since then? Sometimes, community gatherings can help to not only honor those we've lost but also push for change and hopefully prevent future tragedies. It's always inspiring to see people come together in memory of loved ones, but it's so tragic that it takes such loss to galvanize action. If anyone has information on vigils or movements started in Lonnie's honor, I'd love to hear about them. Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this senseless violence. Let's hold onto hope for peace and justice.
