I was reading about Jamari Shade's case today, and I can’t stop thinking about how the lack of witnesses has been such a frustrating hurdle for the investigation. It must be incredibly difficult for Jamari’s family and friends, knowing there hasn’t been progress in finding who did this to him. It’s like he was just walking in his neighborhood and then ripped away from his loved ones without any answers or justice. I’ve seen communities come together to rally for answers in similar cases; I hope that happens here too, especially with ongoing issues of gun violence in Chicago. If anyone has even a tiny piece of evidence or information, it could be vital in helping Jamari's family find some peace. Sending love to those who knew him as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
