I've been following Patrick Mack Jr.’s case closely, and I can't stop thinking about the role the community can play in solving this. Patrick was so well-loved and connected; it’s hard to believe no one saw something or heard anything helpful. I keep wondering if people are afraid to come forward, maybe due to fear of retaliation or other reasons. This is the kind of situation where community support could be powerful—sometimes people just need to feel safe to share what they know.

I’ve been following Patrick Mack Jr.'s case and wanted to talk about how his murder reflects on the broader issue of gun violence in Rockford. It seems like we hear about these tragic incidents way too often, and it's devastating to think of how many families are impacted by this kind of violence.
