I’ve been following Keishianta Coleman's case, and I can’t stop thinking about her sister. I can’t even imagine the emotional toll it must take to witness such a traumatic event and then have to relive it through the investigation and trial. The bond between siblings can be incredibly strong, and for her sister to have been so close and yet unable to prevent this tragedy must be incredibly difficult. My heart goes out to her and the entire family. It makes me wonder how we, as a society, can better support family members who have to navigate the aftermath of such violence. While justice is crucial, the healing process for the family is equally important. I truly hope they receive the support and resources they need during this trying time.
