Hey all, I've been following Rasean Green's case and it's just so tough to see the pain his family and community are going through. Something that caught my attention is the location where this tragedy took place. I've heard that the 7200 block of South Aberdeen Street has been problematic for a while, with a lot of incidents happening there. Does anyone have more info on whether there have been previous efforts to improve safety in that area? It just seems like so many lives are caught in this cycle of violence, and I'm hoping there's something more the community or city could be doing. My thoughts are with Rasean's family and friends as they navigate this difficult time.
I was reading about Rasean Green's case, and something that really struck me was the time of the incident. It happened around 5 p.m., which means it was still light outside, and a lot of people might have been around. It's chilling to think something so violent can happen in what should be a safe and familiar neighborhood at a time when many are just living their daily lives. My heart goes out to Rasean's family and friends as they try to cope with such a sudden and devastating loss.
I can't help but wonder about the witnesses or people nearby. Maybe someone saw something small that seemed insignificant at the time. I really hope anyone who might have been in the area, even people just passing through, think back on that day and come forward with information. It's crucial for helping the detectives piece together what happened. Sharing even the smallest detail could be the key to solving this tragedy and bringing some measure of justice for Rasean and his family.
Also, I'm thinking about how this casts a spotlight on the need for community safety initiatives. If neighborhoods were better supported with resources and programs aimed at preventing violence, maybe tragedies like this could be lessened. Let's hope the community can rally together to make a change.
Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the discussion about Rasean Green’s tragic death, and I wanted to bring up the incredible resilience shown by his family and the community. It's been nearly four years, and despite the pain, his loved ones continue to organize events and talks to combat gun violence and to keep his memory alive.
Has anyone else heard about the recent community gatherings or rallies held in Englewood? It’s really important that we shine a light on these efforts, not just to support the family but also to foster unity and push for change. It takes tremendous strength to turn grief into something proactive, and I truly admire their determination.
For anyone in the area, checking out these events could be a powerful way to stand in solidarity and maybe help bring about some much-needed change. If anyone has more info or wants to share experiences from attending, it’d be great to hear about them.
Let’s keep Rasean in our thoughts and continue supporting his family in any way we can.
