Anyone else struck by how brave little Evelyn is? Despite everything, she’s managed to find some semblance of normalcy after her injury. It's incredible considering how traumatic that night must have been for her and the whole family. I can't even imagine how terrifying it must have been, but what’s really moving is seeing how the community has gathered around the family, especially Evelyn. Just knowing they're not alone and that there are people willing to help in any way they can must mean the world to them. Really hoping that the ongoing investigation finally brings some closure and justice for the Cisneros family. It’s not fair that they’ve had to endure so much pain without the answers they deserve.

Hi everyone, I've been following the Fermin Cisneros case out of Chicago, and one detail that really breaks my heart is the impact on his kids, especially Evelyn. Just thinking about what it must have been like for her—to witness something so traumatic at such a young age—and then to be injured herself, is unimaginable. I can't help but wonder how she's coping now, years after that night. I really hope she and her sisters are getting all the support they need, both emotionally and psychologically. Their lives have been changed forever, and it’s so important that communities have resources in place to help children deal with trauma like this. If anyone has any information on organizations that might be providing aid to the Cisneros family or similar families, please share. My thoughts are with the Cisneros family and all those affected by this senseless act of violence. I truly hope justice is served and that they can find some peace in the future.
