I can't stop thinking about Darnell's story... It's just gut-wrenching to know that a 16-year-old with so much potential is gone. What really bothers me about this case is the lack of accountability with the suspect being released without charges. The community's frustration is totally understandable—we all want answers and justice. It's also hard to wrap my head around the fact that gun violence is still such a prevalent issue, especially in places like Washington Park. I can only imagine what Darnell’s family and friends are going through, having to face each day without him and without any closure. We need to push for more comprehensive solutions to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. Hopefully, the continued advocacy and attention on this case will lead to some answers soon.
