I’ve been following Bernardino Mercado's case closely and keep coming back to the fact that it happened during such a tumultuous time in Chicago. With the protests and chaos surrounding George Floyd's death, I can't help but wonder if the chaos of that night affected how quickly police could respond or secure the scene. The guy was just 26, with his whole life ahead of him, and with the city in disarray, it seems like it added another layer of difficulty to finding justice for him. I truly feel for his family and hope more witnesses step forward despite the distractions and tensions that night. Does anyone know if there were any surveillance cameras in that area or if any protest-related footage picked up anything that night? Any bit could help in catching the person responsible.

It's incredibly frustrating that there's still no arrest or information about the suspect. The violence that night seems to have been overshadowed by the chaos of the protests, but every life lost under such violent circumstances deserves attention and justice. Has anyone heard if there have been any updates or leads? I hope that the detectives are getting closer to finding the person responsible so his family can find some justice. Please, if anyone knows anything—even the smallest detail—come forward. This family needs answers.
