Has anyone else been following the strange case of Paul Thomas Murray? I've been digging into boat disappearances and his really caught my attention. What's puzzling to me is how Donny Vanaria just up and left for New York right after the *Hornet* was found. Does anyone know more about their relationship? Were they longtime friends or was it more of a recent acquaintance kind of thing? I'm curious if anyone has insights into Vanaria's demeanor during the interview or any statements he's made publicly. This whole situation just feels off, especially with the boat running aground and both of them vanishing. It's unsettling how little info there seems to be.
I recently stumbled upon the Paul Thomas Murray case and something that puzzles me is the condition in which the *Hornet* was discovered. Has there been any info on whether the sailboat might have been intentionally run aground? Could wave or weather conditions realistically result in it being left like that, or does it seem more likely someone deliberately docked it onto the jetty? I wonder if the investigators were able to determine the boat's speed or heading before it hit the rocks. It just seems odd for an experienced sailor like Murray, and possibly Vanaria, to end up like that unless something sketchy was going on. Would love any input or theories you guys might have.
