I came across the case of Jaquawn Newman, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain they're going through, not having answers about who did this or why. It's alarming how the situation in Chicago escalated around this time, with so much happening in the wider context of those protests.
What really stood out to me is how these acts of violence affect more than just those directly involved. Jaquawn's family and the young man who survived the attack are undoubtedly still dealing with the aftermath. I hope this case gets the attention it desperately needs and that there is some resolution for the family.
