Marcus Hughes, a 36-year-old Black man, was shot and killed on the evening of March 8, 2008, on the 1800 block of E. 28th Street in Baltimore. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital but died of his wounds.
The Baltimore Police Department opened a homicide investigation and assigned Detective Joon Kim to the case. Investigators worked in the days and weeks afterward to determine a motive and identify anyone involved, but the case remained unsolved. As of early 2009 no arrests had been announced and no suspects had been publicly identified.
Does anyone who was in the area that night or who knew Marcus have information that could help bring clarity to what happened?
