I was reading about Brandon McGhee's case and just can't help but think about the randomness and senselessness of it all. It’s incredibly sad to see an innocent young man lose his life so suddenly. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends are experiencing right now. I think about his friend who survived the ordeal too; living through such a terrifying event must be unbelievably traumatic. Survivors often face invisible wounds, dealing with the emotional and mental aftermath of what happened. They definitely need all the support they can get. I'm hoping anyone who might have seen something in Logan Square that day comes forward to help get justice for McGhee. It’s important we all do what we can to stand against violence in our communities. Sending strength and prayers to all who knew and loved Brandon.
