Hey everyone, I've been reading about Justin Nathaniel Amis's case a lot recently. It's so difficult to think about the challenges his family must be facing, not just with their grief but with the investigation as well. One thing that really stands out to me is the lack of cooperation from the community, which seems to be a recurring issue in Baltimore. It's a shame because the people who live there have the local knowledge that could really aid the investigation. I keep wondering if there's a way to improve police-community relations so that more people would feel comfortable coming forward with information. I hope that with time, trust can be rebuilt, and perhaps new leads might emerge to bring some justice for Justin and closure for his loved ones. Anyone have any thoughts on how we can help foster that kind of environment?

Does anyone else find it really frustrating how these cases seem to just fade from public attention so quickly? Justin Nathaniel Amis had his whole life ahead of him, and it feels like once the headlines die down, so does the urgency to bring justice. It's upsetting to think about the pain his family must be going through, knowing there hasn't been much progress in the investigation. Baltimore's crime rate in 2008 was definitely alarming, but what happens when the dust settles? I really hope there are still efforts being made behind the scenes. It makes you wonder what we can do to support the families and communities affected by such violence. Keeping Justin's story alive might be one small way to start. What do you guys think?
