I've been following the case of Richard Powell, and while every detail of this tragedy hits hard, I'm particularly struck by the location aspect of his murder. The fact that it happened in broad daylight on a busy street like South Halsted is incredibly unsettling. It just makes me wonder about the level of fear and unpredictability people in that community must face on a daily basis. It's infuriating and saddening to think that someone could have witnessed his final moments just while going about their day. My thoughts are with Richard’s family and friends as they navigate through this nightmare. I truly hope that the ongoing investigation leads to some answers soon. If anyone out there saw something, please speak up. This violence has to stop.
