Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on the tragic case of George Nixon Blain, who was found in Leakin Park back in 2008. My heart goes out to his family and friends—it must be incredibly hard knowing there still aren't any answers. I wanted to talk about Leakin Park itself and how its reputation seems to really affect investigations. It's awful how this park, once potentially just a city park, became this grim landmark for criminal activity. I can't help but wonder if the park's notorious reputation and secluded nature make it an easy choice for criminals trying to cover their tracks. It’s sad to think that the environment might be hindering justice for so many victims, including George. It’s clear that this spot is a big obstacle for law enforcement who can't seem to catch a break with solid evidence or witnesses who are brave enough to speak up. Does anyone else think more could be done to address this specifically? Maybe more regular patrols or community outreach to create a safer environment? Hoping for justice for all those who have been affected by what happens in Leakin Park. We can only hope that the city's efforts to solve these cold cases with new methods might finally bring some peace to the families. Stay safe, everyone.

It's been over a decade since George Nixon Blain's life was tragically taken, and it pains me to think of how his family must still be yearning for answers. Leakin Park's grim history adds an extra layer of sadness to this case. It’s been a notorious site for similar unsolved tragedies, and I can’t help but wonder how many stories like George’s remain untold because they vanished into its shadows. It’s frustrating how the lack of evidence and the park’s reputation make solving these cases so tough. I really admire the efforts of the Cold Case Unit in Baltimore. Even though they face a mountain of obstacles—like potential witnesses who understandably might be afraid to speak up, and the daunting task of sifting through years of old evidence—they continue to push forward. It's critical that we support them in whatever ways we can, whether that’s through community advocacy or spreading the word, in the hope that George's case and others like it can someday be resolved. Sending love to his loved ones, who have been so strong through all this.
