Has anyone else been following the investigation into Lyman J. Bates' tragic death? I keep thinking about how this occurred in the Back of the Yards area, which has seen far too many similar incidents. It's frustrating to see how these communities continue to be affected by gun violence. It must be incredibly difficult for Bates’ family and friends, not only to lose someone in such a violent way but also to feel like there are no answers or justice yet. I really hope the detectives get some leads soon. This cycle of violence has to stop, and someone out there might have the information that could help bring closure to his loved ones. If anyone knows anything, no matter how small, please reach out to authorities. Lyman deserves justice, and his family deserves peace.
