Hey everyone. I've been thinking about Osvaldo Lopez's case lately, and something that's been on my mind is the role of the ocean currents on that day he vanished. I did a bit of reading, and it turns out that the waters around Key West can be quite unpredictable and strong, especially in September. I'm wondering if maybe the currents played a significant part in why nothing was ever found. Does anyone have more expertise on the currents in that area or similar cases where the sea made recovery impossible? I've come across some stories where divers were swept miles from their original spot. Just throwing this out there in case it may spark some new thoughts or avenues for exploring what happened to Osvaldo. Thoughts?

Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on the day Osvaldo Lopez disappeared? I was curious and did some digging—turns out there were unusually strong currents reported in that area around the time he went missing. I wonder if this could have played a role in what happened. It seems plausible that even a skilled diver could have been caught off guard by sudden changes in water movement. Just thinking out loud here, but maybe those currents swept him away much faster than anyone anticipated? Curious to hear what others think or if there's any local insight on this.
