Has anyone else attended the candlelight vigil for Dontrell Marquise Robinson? I went and was truly moved by the sense of community and support. It was clear how much Dontrell meant to those who knew him. I overheard several people sharing stories about his kindness and the impact he had on their lives. It’s so frustrating and painful to think about how another promising young life was taken too soon. I left the vigil feeling a mix of sorrow and determination—we need to put more pressure on local officials to create real change in Bronzeville. If anyone has suggestions on how we can better support the community or upcoming events to honor Dontrell, please share. It’s so important that we keep talking about these issues and supporting each other.
