I was thinking today about Marcus Price's mother and the pain she must have endured over these years. Losing a child is something no parent should have to endure, yet she had to face that nightmare. With the conviction of Niyiquell Pendleton, there's at least a small step towards justice, but I can’t imagine that healing a wound so deep. The community should continue to offer its support and keep Marcus’s memory alive. It's important to stand together against the violence that took his life and be a source of strength for the families affected by it. Let’s hope that going forward, more can be done to prevent such devastating acts and to create safer environments for our youth. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on how communities can come together more effectively to address these issues.
