Hi everyone,
I've been following the tragic case of Ratanya Aryiel Rogers and the recent mass shooting in Englewood. I can't help but feel for her friends and family during this difficult time. One thing that really stood out to me was the location of the incident—inside a home owned by a police officer. It makes me wonder about the responsibilities homeowners, especially those in law enforcement, have when it comes to security at their properties.
I'm curious about the accountability aspect here. The city had already filed a lawsuit against Officer Enrique Badillo Sr. due to a previous shooting incident at the same location in 2019. Was there a lack of security measures that could have prevented such a tragedy from happening again? I'm not blaming anyone without all the facts—I just think it raises important questions about how such situations could potentially be avoided in the future.
Sending thoughts and support to everyone affected by this senseless violence. It's incredibly important that we come together as a community to discuss these issues and push for change.
