I've been following Michael Johnson's case and something that really stood out to me was the community response after his tragic death. Nearly 200 people came out for the candlelight vigil, which just goes to show the impact he had on those around him. It's clear that Michael was loved by many and had a significant presence in Peoria. What really struck me about the vigil was how everyone kept mentioning his kindness and willingness to help others. It seems he had a positivity that touched so many lives, and it's beyond heart-wrenching that his young son will grow up only hearing about the incredible person his father was. The community’s support for the Johnson family was powerful, but it also highlights this broader issue of gun violence and the urgent need for action to prevent more families from experiencing this kind of immeasurable loss. My thoughts are with his family, especially little Michael, as they navigate life without him.
