It’s truly difficult to wrap my mind around the reality that such a young life was cut short. I’ve been following Yance’s case and I can’t stop thinking about his family’s plea for information. It must be incredibly hard for them to not have any answers or closure. It got me thinking about how critical community engagement is in situations like these. Dolton and surrounding areas must band together to ensure something like this never happens again. I wonder if there are any neighborhood initiatives or outreach programs in place to support residents and improve safety measures? We need to create environments where young individuals feel safe and valued. It's such an important cause, especially considering how incidents of gun violence affect these communities. If anyone has information or ideas for fostering a safer environment, it might be worth discussing here. Sending strength and prayers to Yance’s loved ones.
