I’ve been following Javier Burch’s case, and I can’t stop thinking about the impact this has had on his community. It’s so unsettling to know that despite so many people being around when it happened, we’re still lacking leads. How can someone vanish like that after committing such a violent act? It’s not just about justice for Javier—though he deserves that and so much more—it’s also about the safety of everyone in Englewood.
His friends and family must be going through unimaginable pain. I truly hope they’re finding some support among each other and their community.
