I can't stop thinking about how much potential Meeshie had. She was just 17 and had so much life ahead of her. It’s heart-wrenching to imagine the dreams she held so close, like becoming a Registered Nurse, and how abruptly they were taken away. Her passion for dancing and making TikTok videos shows just how lively and creative she was. It’s unbelievably unfair that her light was extinguished in such a senseless act of violence. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved her. Keeping Meeshie's spirit alive by advocating for safer communities feels like the least we can do to honor her memory. Stay strong, everyone.
