Did anyone hear about the candlelight vigil that the community organized for Delian Quincy Smith? It was held right at the park where he was found. It's absolutely inspiring to see how many people came together to honor his life and support his family during such a difficult time. The visuals I saw online had such a powerful energy—there were so many people holding candles, standing in unity. It's these moments that make me hopeful that even in tragedy, a community can come together and advocate for change, not just for Delian, but to prevent future violence in Washington Park. It's clear that his life touched many, and the community's response shows just how beloved he was. Did anyone here have the chance to attend? Would love to hear your experiences if you feel comfortable sharing.
