I've been reading about the murder of Archer Jeffrey Frederick, and it's tough not to think about what role the neighborhood might play in this heartbreaking event. From everything I've gathered, the area where he was killed was no stranger to violent incidents, which might be why leads are scarce. It's a real struggle for the community when a tragedy like this occurs, and it all seems to point back to a bigger issue with safety in the city. Whether by organizing neighborhood watches or increasing police presence, there has to be more focus on making these areas feel safer. It's terrifying to think that a resident could be taken so violently and quickly with no justice in sight. My thoughts are with his family and friends who are left dealing with this. We need to do more as communities and be vigilant in supporting each other and helping the authorities with any shred of information we might have to prevent more families from going through this heartache.
