Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Timothy Dumas closely and I couldn’t get this thought out of my mind. I was reading that the area where he was shot, the 2500 block of East 83rd Street, has a pretty infamous reputation. It makes me wonder how this environment might affect investigations and witness willingness to come forward. It's really frustrating to think that someone might know what happened but is too scared to speak up. Timothy’s family and friends deserve answers and closure. It’s inspiring to see them organizing vigils and rallies despite their immense pain. We shouldn't forget that these neighborhoods need support long-term, not just after tragedies. Programs aimed at reducing crimes and offering better opportunities for residents might help prevent further heartbreak in the future. It’s a tough situation, but I really hope the community and police can work together to bring some justice to Timothy's family. Anybody else have thoughts on how this environment impacts solving crimes like this?
