I can't stop thinking about D’Edward’s physics ambitions. He was just 16 but already had a passion for physics, which isn’t common for a lot of high schoolers. My nephew goes to Thornwood High, and I remember him mentioning D’Edward and how he always scored top marks in their class. A young mind with such potential, lost senselessly. It’s haunting to know he was planning his future, possibly a career in physics or engineering, and that was all stolen from him and his family.
I’ve been wondering if anyone else thinks this might have been a case of mistaken identity. There’s just so much that doesn’t add up if he wasn’t involved in any gang activity. Maybe someone confused him for someone else? It’s just incredibly confusing and frustrating. My heart goes out to his parents. They tried to create a better life for him, and it didn’t protect him from this tragedy. I’m hoping the community continues to rally around the family and that the police get the tips they need. D’Edward deserves justice and for his story to have an impact, even if it’s just a reminder to protect our children more fervently. If anyone else feels the same or has any insights, please share.
