Was anyone else intrigued by the timing of Ruth’s disappearance? The fact that she was supposed to testify against Smrekar in that shoplifting case just before she went missing seems too coincidental. I wonder if Ruth's family or friends ever mentioned anything about her feeling threatened or uneasy in the days leading up to June 2, 1976. Also, the timing and location of where her car was found is haunting. It really bothers me how her car ended up with a flat tire in a busy spot like the Holiday Inn parking lot. Was this a move to throw people off or just a crude attempt to buy time? I'm curious if any guests or hotel staff noticed anything unusual around that time.
