Hey everyone, I’ve been digging through some old missing persons cases and came across the case of Richard Ernest Medley. It really struck me how little information there seems to be despite the passage of time. What’s interesting is that Richard disappeared on New Year’s Day in 1978. I’ve read up on various theories about disappearances coinciding with holidays and am curious about how many unsolved cases also happened around significant dates. Do you think there could be a reason why certain dates have more cases like this? Or is it purely coincidental? It feels like there might be something worth investigating there. Would love to hear your thoughts.

I've been digging into the disappearance of Richard Ernest Medley from 1978, and I found something curious. Has anyone else noticed how the media coverage was almost non-existent back then? I get that it was a different time, but even now when you try to search for more info, there's barely anything out there. It's like his case got lost in the shuffle. I can't help but wonder if that's part of the reason there haven't been any significant developments. Maybe we should push for more media attention now, to get people talking and bring fresh eyes to the case. Anyone up for brainstorming ways to get the word out? Every bit of awareness helps, right?

I came across Richard Ernest Medley's missing persons case again today, and something about the timing of his disappearance got me thinking. It's strange how he vanished right at the start of a new year. You'd think there might be some significance to that – maybe he had plans or a New Year's resolution in mind? Or perhaps it was purely coincidental. There's almost nothing in the reports about where he was heading or who he was with on January 1, 1978. It's baffling how after all these years, there's still so little information available. Has anyone else looked into the theories around this? I can't shake the feeling that there might be some overlooked details due to the limited attention his case received. If anyone knows more or has theories about the context of that day, I'd love to discuss.
