I've been following the case of Sadarius Givens, and something that's been on my mind is the role the apartment complex security played, or perhaps didn't play, on that tragic night. From what I've gathered, there doesn't seem to be much discussion about any security measures in place at 333 E. Center Street. It's really concerning that multiple shots could be fired in an apartment complex without immediate intervention or at least some preventive measures. Were there security cameras functioning in the complex? And if so, have they been helpful in piecing together the events that led to such a devastating outcome? It's awful to think that Sadarius's life ended in a place where people are supposed to feel safe—a home. The idea that the incident involved not just one but two individuals with previous weapons charges adds another layer of unease about the availability and presence of security. I can't imagine the pain Sadarius’s family is enduring right now, especially while the community is left to question how secure we all truly are in our own environments. My heart goes out to his family, and I hope they find some peace as justice is pursued. What do you all think? Is there more we can do to pressure our local apartment committees about security, or is this more about broader societal issues?
