Hi everyone,
I’ve been thinking a lot about DeAngelo T. Johnson's case, and something that's been on my mind is the role of the community in solving these kinds of tragedies. It's truly upsetting how DeAngelo's family and loved ones are left without answers so far. While I know the authorities are doing what they can, I really believe the community's involvement is crucial here.
Has anyone heard if there have been discussions or events held locally to encourage people to come forward with information? Sometimes, community events can spark conversations that might uncover that one crucial piece of evidence. Plus, they offer a chance to remember DeAngelo and support his family, who I can't even imagine are feeling given the circumstances.
If anyone has attended any vigils or meetings, or knows anything about local initiatives—whether they be gatherings or programs aimed at addressing gun violence—I’d be grateful to hear about them. It's important for all of us to come together to help prevent future violence and ensure justice for DeAngelo.
Sending thoughts to DeAngelo's family and hoping for a break in the case soon.
Hi everyone,
I've been following the case of DeAngelo Johnson, and it has struck a chord with me, especially as the investigation seems to be moving so slowly. I can't help but wonder about the impact this has had on his family and community. DeAngelo was only 27, and it's clear from what little I've read that he was loved by those around him. I imagine they're living with a tremendous void and likely waiting for justice to be served.
One thing that's really been on my mind is the reward offered for any leads. These rewards can sometimes encourage people with crucial information to step up. But why does it often feel like there aren't any brave enough to speak out until there's something in it for them? If anyone here has experience with community outreach or local activism, how do we cultivate an environment where individuals feel safe and compelled to share what they know, reward or not?
For the sake of DeAngelo’s family and the broader community in East St. Louis, staying silent shouldn’t be an option. Every puzzle piece matters, and hopefully, someone will come forward soon to help piece this tragic situation together. Sending thoughts to DeAngelo's loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Warm regards to everyone here who is listening and caring,
