Has anyone looked into the possibility that David could've been involved in something clandestine or risky? The use of aliases like "David Black" or "Mark Black" makes me wonder if he was trying to hide from something or someone. I read somewhere that during the late '70s, it wasn't uncommon for people to get involved in underground activities in San Francisco. Maybe David had a reason to go off the grid? This could explain why there’s such a lack of details about his disappearance. Just a thought. Would love to hear if anyone's come across anything similar in other cases from that era!
