Has anyone else been following the friends and family of Berthony Meus trying to raise awareness about his case? I came across a community rally they organized last weekend in Blue Island, and it was incredibly moving to see so many people come together in support. It’s clear that Berthony was deeply loved and cherished by those who knew him.
It’s just so unbelievable that someone could lose their life in such a senseless way, and even more frustrating that the shooter is still unidentified. I think it’s really important that we keep the conversation going and support the family’s calls for justice. If anyone has more information about any future gatherings or ways we can help, please share. This family deserves answers, and Berthony deserves justice.
I can't get over the tragic loss of Berthony Meus. It’s been over a year, and it feels like we're no closer to finding the person responsible for this horrific crime. I can't even imagine what his family is going through, especially since there's been a prolonged silence on any new leads or arrests.
The Forge Pub must be a place people went to unwind and enjoy time with friends. To think that a peaceful night could turn so violent is chilling. I’ve heard some chatter about similar altercations happening there before. Does anyone know if that's true? And if security is strict enough at these places? Clearly, something crucial slipped through the cracks for the altercation to escalate to such a tragic end.
I really hope someone with information finds the courage to speak up. Berthony and his family deserve justice, and the community deserves to feel safe. If anyone has updates or ideas on how we can support his family or push for progress in the investigation, please share. Every little bit helps.
