I just stumbled upon the case of Joseph Myers, and something that's been bothering me is the delay in filing that second police report. If there was a tip about where he might be buried, why did it take years for it to reach the right people? It’s like a crucial piece of the puzzle is missing or got lost in translation. I feel for his family, having to wait so long just for basic steps to be taken. Does anyone know if there’s a way to access older police records to see what may have slipped through the cracks back then? Would love to hear if anyone has similar experiences or advice on how to push for more transparency in these cold cases.
Hey everyone,
I stumbled upon Joseph Myers' case this week and it's been on my mind ever since. One detail that's puzzled me is the tip about where Joseph might be buried and why it hasn't led to any breakthroughs. If someone went through the trouble of coming forward with such information, does anyone know how seriously this was followed up on? I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for his family to have this lead and see nothing concrete come of it. It makes me wonder if there were any resources or technology available now that weren't available back then that could help? I guess sometimes these cold cases need a fresh pair of eyes or new techniques to see if anything's been missed.
If anyone here has more insights or knows about similar cases where a lead like this was crucial, please share. Sometimes just revisiting those overlooked parts can be the key. Keeping my fingers crossed for some movement in Joseph's case.
I came across Joseph Myers' case recently, and something really sticks out to me. Why hasn't there been more public outreach or media coverage over the years? Considering he went missing back in 1981, it's surprising there weren't larger searches or at least a renewed push over the decades. I've seen cases where even a decades-old tip can eventually crack things open. With this new report his family filed, I'm curious if there's been any modern technology used on that potential burial site tip. Ground-penetrating radar or anything like that? Maybe bringing in some cold case specialists could shed new light. It's frustrating how some cases never get the attention they deserve.
