I recently came across the tragic story of Special Officer Middleton Pierce Harwell, and it really made me reflect on the tireless dedication of those who serve in law enforcement. He was out there protecting the railroad when his life was brutally ended. I can't even begin to imagine the impact this had on his family, especially his wife and three children who were forced to navigate life without him.

It's somewhat comforting to know that justice was served swiftly back in 1905, but it doesn't diminish the loss felt by his loved ones. I wonder if those who remember him have any stories about his life or character. Respect to all who put on their uniforms and risk their lives like he did.
