Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the emotional toll this must take on Sergeant Hammock's family, especially his granddaughter. It’s one thing to lose a family member, but when it happens in such a shocking and violent way, I can’t imagine how hard that is to process. I keep wondering how his granddaughter has managed over the years, growing up with the memory of her grandfather taken so unjustly. Does anyone have any insights into how families cope with this long-term? I feel like their journey through grief deserves recognition and support. Losing a loved one in such a tragic manner must have lasting effects on their lives, and I hope they’ve found some peace and healing over time. ? Sending them my thoughts and solidarity.
