Has anyone looked into whether Mark Schley might have been using the last name "Welby" during or after the time of his disappearance? It seems like one of those overlooked details that could totally change the direction of an investigation. If he was trying to start a new life or hide, wouldn’t he make use of an alias? Has law enforcement explored this angle? I'm curious if there were any sightings or even legal documents under that last name during that time. It’s such a long shot, but sometimes these small details can reopen a case or at least offer a new perspective. Would love to hear thoughts on this!
Has anyone looked into the potential aliases Mark might have used? I find it interesting that he may have used the last name "Welby." Could this be linked to any other missing persons or perhaps someone who has resurfaced under that name somewhere else? Sometimes a new identity can be a big piece of the puzzle. It's a long shot, but maybe someone who knew him back then might have more info or remember something about why he would choose that name. If "Welby" meant something to him, digging deeper into that could provide some leads. Anyone who was around Jacksonville Beach in the '80s – did the name ring any bells back then? Feel for his family, hoping for answers even after all this time.
