Has anyone else been following the aftermath of Derrick Merritt Jr.'s case? I just read a bit more about how the community in Athens has been coping since that tragic night outside Bootleggers nightclub. It's something that's really stuck with me, how a senseless act of violence can leave such a deep scar on a community. From what I understand, there have been several initiatives and community meetings to address gun violence and provide support for those affected. It’s reassuring to see people come together like this and work towards healing, but it's just so sad that it took such a terrible event to spark these conversations. Does anyone know more about these community efforts or ways we can support them? Derrick and Jamaris's families deserve all the love and support they can get.
