I’ve been thinking about the personal items individuals carry with them in such perilous situations, and how they might offer clues. Daniel Barrios Ramos was reportedly carrying a backpack when he tried to cross the Rio Grande back in '86. I wonder what might have been in it? Personal IDs, photos, or other belongings that could have washed up somewhere downstream? It’s baffling that neither these items nor any distinct clues about his whereabouts have ever surfaced. Could anyone local to that area or having knowledge about the river’s pathways weigh in on how currents might affect the dispersal of objects? Any insight might be helpful, especially for those familiar with the area’s geography during that period.
Hey everyone, I've been following Daniel Barrios Ramos' case, and I find it so baffling how a person can just vanish like that, especially when there seemed to be a clear goal in mind—to cross the Rio Grande. The details about him, such as the long scar on his thigh, might be key identifiers if anyone out there has some information. I was wondering if there have been any recent river searches in the area where he was last seen or if there were any eyewitnesses back then who might not have been approached yet? It seems like even after all these years, any small piece of new info could be the missing link needed. Does anyone know if there are efforts or campaigns to keep the public aware of his case? Sometimes keeping his image and story alive can jog memories. Would appreciate hearing any updates or insights others might have!
