I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragic events that led to Riyadh Nuriddin's death. It's so troubling to hear about someone being taken from their loved ones over something as senseless as a robbery. I read somewhere that Riyadh was set to go to his daughter’s school the day after he was killed. Just imagining his little girl waiting for him that morning is so gut-wrenching. The fact that Yusuf Abdul Alkarim worked with him makes it all the more shocking. How does someone even begin to process a betrayal of this magnitude? I can't help but think about Riyadh's family, especially his children, now growing up without their dad. It feels like such a loss not just for them, but for the whole community who knew and admired him. To everyone who knew Riyadh, I hope you continue to find the strength to keep his memory alive. He sounded like a truly remarkable man, and I hope sharing stories about him helps to heal even a little of the heartache his family must be going through.

It's been over nine years since Riyadh Nuriddin's tragic death, and I still find myself thinking about the impact he had on his community. I never knew him personally, but I've read so many stories about how much he meant to everyone around him. What strikes me most is his character. It's clear he was a true pillar in East Point, not only as a manager but as someone who genuinely cared for those in his orbit. I can't imagine the void left by such a sudden and violent loss. For his family, especially his wife and three children, it's a reality that no one should ever have to endure. And how heartbreaking that someone he worked with could commit such a terrible act. It makes you reconsider how well you know the people around you, even those we see every day. I'm really hoping that with Alkarim's conviction, the family can find some semblance of peace amid their loss. I think we owe it to Riyadh to remember him for all the positive changes he brought to his community and to support any efforts to keep his legacy of kindness and service alive.
