I've been following the Tabaris Sheats case for a while now, and something that really strikes me is the courage he showed in his final moments. Knowing he was in imminent danger, he still found the strength to tell his friend to run and get to safety. It speaks volumes about his character and the kind of person he was. It's deeply saddening how this cycle of violence impacts so many lives, but to see a young man like Tabaris demonstrate such bravery under unimaginable pressure is truly moving. My heart goes out to his family and friends as they navigate this pain. I hope we can all learn from this and work towards a future where disputes can be handled without violence.
