Hey everyone, I was reading up on the tragic case of Joshua Barkley and something that's been on my mind is the role of community effort in cases like this. It's been so long since Joshua, Ricky Whitlock, and Marcus Gay were killed, and yet it seems like the key to solving this mystery could lie right in the neighborhood where it happened.
The sketches the police released in 2015 were supposed to help, but unfortunately, not much came from them. I wonder if there's anyone out there who remembers seeing something that day or in the time leading up to the tragedy but is maybe afraid to come forward. It must be incredibly frustrating for Joshua's family and the other victims' families, living with these unanswered questions.
It seems like they've done everything to keep the community engaged, from organizing vigils to working with Crime Stoppers. I genuinely hope that the increased reward catches someone's attention. It only takes one person with the right piece of information to make all the difference. If anyone has thoughts on how else the community can get involved or new ideas to support the family in finding justice, I'd love to hear them. Let's keep talking about this and supporting these families to bring them the peace they deserve.
