Did anyone else find it incredibly disturbing how random and unpredictable Presley's attacks were? Karen Pearce was just leaving a restaurant, doing what any of us might do after a nice evening. Her family and community must be grappling with so many questions about how such a senseless act could happen to someone so vibrant and loved. The fact that Presley had no direct connection to her yet chose to commit such a horrendous crime is a chilling reminder of how vulnerable we all can be. My heart truly goes out to Karen's friends and family during this tough time. It must be a small comfort that the authorities were able to apprehend him so quickly, bringing some form of justice and preventing further tragedies. Does this case make anyone else wonder about the safety of seemingly mundane locations like parking decks?
