Has anyone else stumbled upon the oddities regarding Frank's account of Virginia's disappearance? I've been poring over the details, and something just doesn't sit right with me. Why would Virginia leave her pocketbook in the car if she was just stepping inside Reny's for a quick restroom break? It seems strange considering most people don't walk away from their personal belongings, especially when traveling. And if she went into the store, isn't it odd that no one even remembers seeing her there? I feel like there's a missing piece to this puzzle. Has anyone come across any witness statements or reports from that day that might shed light on whether someone saw her at the store or even en route to Belfast?
Just came across the baffling disappearance case of Virginia Douglas from 1988 while diving into some old files. What puzzles me the most is the choice of Reny’s department store in Belfast as their stop. It feels so random - I live in Maine, and it's not exactly the most popular pit stop for tourists. It almost begs the question of whether this stop was really impromptu or if there was some other reason they chose this specific location. Anyone have thoughts on why they'd detour there? Locals, was Reny’s known for anything in the '80s that might've drawn someone in?

Is it possible she never made it to Belfast at all? I can't shake the feeling that there's something more to this story, especially since her pocketbook was left in the car.
