Virginia Douglas, age 69, went missing on September 1, 1988, during an impromptu trip to Maine with her husband, Frank Douglas. The couple, who resided in Lexington, Massachusetts, made an unexpected stop in Belfast, Maine, while en route to Bar Harbor.
