Has anyone else been thinking about how Matthew Fields seemed to have planned this tragedy? I can't stop wondering what went through his mind to commit such an unthinkable act against his own family. It's tough to understand how someone could inflict such pain on their loved ones and the community. It makes you realize just how important it is to reach out to those who might be struggling and ensure they have access to the help they need. I've been thinking a lot about the bravery of Jerry Manning, Rebecca's father, since the news broke. It's so difficult to imagine the pain he went through, trying to protect his family in those horrific moments. Even after being critically injured, he fought to survive and make it to the hospital. Although he passed later that year, his courage is something that should be honored and remembered.
