Can we talk about the role of campus security (or lack thereof) at Savannah State during the time of Christopher Starks' tragic death? It's devastating to think that a young man like Christopher, full of potential and with a bright future ahead, lost his life somewhere he should have felt safe. I read that his family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the university because they believed there were inadequate security measures in place. Considering the claims about a high rate of violent crimes on campus, it makes me wonder, was there any major change in campus security policies following this incident? Did the university take any steps to address these concerns and prevent another tragedy from happening? My thoughts are with Christopher's family during what must be an incredibly difficult time for them.
